Jordan Jansen was born on March 12, 1998 and he
has now been singing for about four years. In that
time, Jordan has come a long way, and his voice
keeps getting stronger and stronger.
It all began for Jordan in first grade after he
borrowed $2 from a friend to enter a talent quest
at school and placed second.
At the age of 6, Jordan made his stage debut in
the pantomime "Robin Hood and his Merry Men",
followed by the musicals "Esther" an Australian
Children’s Rock Opera and "Gypsy", the story of
Gypsy Rose Lee taken from one of the Greatest
American Musicals ever made back in 1959.
In 2006, Jordan won the Junior Springfest Pines
Idol Contest 15 years and under which was then
followed by many performances around the Gold
Coast including singing with the Gold Coast City
Brass Band, the opening of the Arts Festival,
Opening and Closing ceremonies for the National
Netball Championships and many more. Later that
year he appeared on TV’s Channel Nine NRA fashion
awards and made his first major singing debut at
the Colgate Palmolive Christmas Carols alongside
Tania Kernaghan and Sophie Monk where he sang
solo for the first time in front of thousands.
Jordan also had his first major audition where
he made the final 12 nationwide search for
"young Peter" in the musical arena spectacular
"The Boy from Oz".
In 2007, Jordan achieved very high results in
numerous eisteddfods in Queensland and was invited
to perform in "Musicale", the best of the winners
from the Gold Coast Eisteddfod, that year he also
won the most promising competitor in the Ipswich
Eisteddfod. Jordan was also recognised
internationally after winning UK based radio
stations "Song of the Year" with his rendition of
"Bright Eyes". He won the Junior Sanctuary Cove
Talent Quest, was cast for two short movies,
"Almost Famous" and "An Indecent Affair" and
finished a season as "Snow boy" in West Side
Story. Jordan was a guest singer at many venues
around the Gold Coast including the opening of
International Volunteers Day at Sheraton Marina
Mirage, singing at the Royal Pines Resort, Movie
World, and for the Leukaemia Foundation just to
name a few. 2007 saw Jordan make his first
professional stage debut as an entertainer with
his 45 minute "one-boy" show at Club Banora.
In 2008, Jordan had the honour of singing the
National Anthem for the Australian Citizenship
Ceremonies and again at the Australian Awards
Ceremony at the Gold Coast Arts Centre followed
by his own show for the Australia Day Celebrations.
He was again asked to perform the National Anthem
to swear in the new council. Jordan was cast in
the role of "Little Jake" in the 4 week run of
Annie Get Your Gun. He appeared in Galaxy of the
Stars alongside many top performers. He finished
out the year by taking the lead role in the
Serendipity production of the musical "Bugsy
Malone".
So far this year, Jordan played the role of Charlie
Bates in the musical Oliver! at Twin Towns, and has
been invited back to sing with Galaxy of the Stars.
Jordan was seen on Channel Seven's Australia's Got
Talent, and will be soon be seen on Channel Ten as
one of the youngest primary school students chosen
to be a featured vocalist in the Creative Generation
State Schools on Stage 2009 Spectacular.
Jordan is a student of vocal, dance, piano and
guitar, loves to perform and definitely knows where
his future lies, he is now 11 years old and a 6th
year student who lives in Queensland, Australia.
Jordan has finished recording his third CD which
